More and more cities globally are suffering from serious traffic congestion. In my opinion, governments, organizations, and people should primarily focus on this problem and find measures for reducing the harmful consequences of traffic jams, particularly for the better future of the new generation.
First of all, one of the main causes of traffic congestion is the rapid urbanization process. With new technologies, greater opportunities for education, and a larger scale of job positions, people are tending to relocate into the bigger cities. The higher the population, the higher the number of traffic means and, thus, a surge in traffic jams. Moreover, this tendency negatively influences human health. Vehicles output CO2 emissions from their engines, which people ingest daily. To address this issue, the goverments should focus on alterations in transport manufacturing. For instance, improving the law about the reduction in emissions named EU6, which has already positive effect on the environment. Additionally, another solution for this is encouraging society to buy electric vehicles. However, in this type of transport, there is a huge problem regarding its battery recycling, which is made by lithium.
Secondly, the government can implement some actions to encourage people to use more bicycles. For example, by making social media advertisements for a healthy lifestyle with this sort of vehicles, by signing laws, by constructing a better road system, by putting higher prices on fuel.
In conclusion, the problem of traffic congestion is growing exponentially. The government should focus on this and maintain solutions as soon as possible for the better livelihood of the new generation.
