In recent years, air pollution has become a major problem everywhere, especially in the megacities. This essay will examine the main causes of toxic air and suggest possible solutions.
One main cause of air pollution is transport, especially private cars. Almost every type of vehicle uses fuel that can damage the local environment. As a result, the CO₂ produced by cars leads to air pollution. Another cause is the growth of manufacturing industries. After the production process, many factories release poisonous gases into the air. This is why cities with a large number of factories often experience severe air pollution.
To address these causes, the government should encourage people to use public transportation, instead of private cars. This can help reduce fuel consumption. Furthermore, factories have to use a special device called “eco-filter” which absorbs toxic gases and makes air cleaner.
In conclusion, although there are several reasons for air pollution, there are possible solutions such as smart filters and public transport. If individuals and authorities cooperate, this problem can be reduced.
