As a result, companies invest in well-known sport groups to advertise their products. In this essay, I will explore both views, and lean towards the benefits of sponsoring sport groups.
The sport industry is an increadibly powerfull economic sector, which generates billions every year through the broadcasting of a variaety of sports games. For instance, football is immensely popular in Europe, and most people view the League and the Worldcup. In consequence of its popularity and vast reach, it makes sense that companies will sponsor these teams in order of publishing their businesses. This allows their products to become visible to a larger number of people, and in turn, increase sells. Furthermore, people may associate them with their favourite athlete and be seen as a synonym of success.
On the other hand, the expenses of sports teams advertising a company are large and may not lead to a financial retribution. Furthermore, firms need to spend unparalleled costs to get sport celebrities, while advertising through conventional social media like TV, radio or the internet may render similar benefits at a smaller expense. Moreover, if the sport team sponsored were to be involved in any scandal, the company would be negatively impacted.
In conclusion, there are advantages and drawbacks of sponsoring sport companies, although the benefits of being related to a well-liked team outweigh the downsides.
