In recent years, tourism industries are concentrated on developing in many countries. This promotion can be easily explained because it brings various valuable benefits. Unfortunately, it also has the biggest consequences.
I personally believe that there are two main reasons for the promptness of tourism industries, namely economic development and exchanging traditional cultures to other nations. The tourism industry includes many different types of traveling in terms of leisure travel, adventure, pilgrimage and so on, which are primary senses to attract people to visit and foreign income from overseas investors. Local people also have more chances to work and make handicrafts, therefore reducing the unemployment rate and increasing local income. Moreover, the promotion of tourism can help international tourists admire and learn about a variety of cultures and experience traditional activities. Thus, improve global relations with other countries and share with overseas people our significant scenic beauty.
While the two benefits outlined above are undeniable, the tourism industry continues to be plagued by a considerable drawback. That is environmental pollution. The numerous of travelers can waste several plastic pollutants, such as bottled water or plastic bags and gradually, it creates mountains of plastic waste. For instance, tourists will see a trash lake or a coastline with various waste instead of a beautiful pure lake or a golden sand. If the country does not thoroughly solute this problem, not only disrupt the local people’s life, but also destroy the eco-systems and animals can be extinct.
To summarize, the expanding tourism industry is critical for development countries but it need to be properly controlled to obtain positive effects.
