This essay firmly believes that the advantages of promotion campaigns for sports equipment by well-known athletes positively influence the tendency.
One of the viable disadvantages of this trend is the inequality problem between companies. Because small companies struggle to hire first-class stars for their advertisements, and they cannot compete with international corporations, which have more money for commercials, on the same level. For example, global organization Adidas would take Ronaldo as their productions’ face, while small entrepreneurs can afford only local sportsmen. This means that big businesses will continue to expand and create a monopoly on the market. Nonetheless, oligarchy can be achieved by other factors but high quality of production that directly affects people’s health is seen as an outweighing advantage.
One of the prime advantages of sports players advertising sports goods is that it could boost the quality of this production, which can prevent different kinds of injuries. Professionals can effortlessly detect bad class equipment, and, as celebrities, they have a reputation to protect. Hence, because of possible cancel culture, famous sportsmen try to avoid public hate, and inspect the companies. For instance, society massively canceled corporations as SHEIN, which used child labour, and celebrities that had contracts with them and promoted their production were also cancelled. This means that to keep their money, fame, and status, sports players will choose firms only with good products.
In conclusion, even though sports advertisements with well-known athletes can be a reason for an unequal market, I am convinced that the advantages of this trend, such as high quality sports equipment, strongly outweigh the disadvantages.
