Many governments around the world devote a significant amount of resources to their military. However, these funds would be more beneficial to the greater community if spent else where. Increasing governmental investment in corporations, setting up trusts to alleviate relative poverty and building more infrastructure are all better ways to spend this money.
Allocating the sum of money to governmental assistance towards corporations would be more advantageous than military use. (TS) Creating a startup in the modern ear requires humongous financial commitments, and receiving subsidies (financial support) for such purposes would be of great use. As an unnecessary amount of money is spent on the military, redirecting its spendings towards assisting these small-medium enterprises with fiscal help would improve the health of the economy. Thus, ensuring the livelihood of the community. For instance, the Hong Kong government does not need to build up its military strength, instead redirecting its funds towards assisting corporations, leading to a prospering (flourishing, thriving, blooming) entrepreneurship scene in Hong Kong.
Aside from governmental assistance, financially rescuing the impoverished would also prove to trump over military spendings.(TS) While we construct more silos and missiles, the poverty-stricken people suffer from lack of basic needs.
