But its benefits are far more important, such as acquiring better education and opportunities for children’s future careers.
Moving abroad, especially with family, can come at an extra cost. Parents should have to pay the rent of the house, food and household payments, also children’s education requires extra money. These financial circumstances can create extra pressure for parents except from their own job requirments. When family move to England from New York, the cost of living and education is higher compared to other nations. Culture shock is another drawback in moving abroad with family. This will be quite difficult for children to overcome as they cannot make friends quickly and cannot adapt to new school systems. Parents may, also undergo difficulties with finding new neighbours as their language and cultural differences. For example, when I came to Tashkent for the first time, I could not make friends and really wanted to leave the city.
However, new educational opportunities can make parents more relieved as they can feel confident that their children are studying at the best school with high qualified teachers. These will help children learn more as they will make friends from other foreign countries as well. This, in turn, foster the competition among children to study hard and diverse their learning abilities. Moreover, having different cultural backgrounds can make children more competitive employee in the job market since most companies appreciate people who have experienced different cultures and abilities to speak more than one language. When people move to another city, they have to learn their language in order to communicate and strengthen the social bonds.Take tourist companies. They need employees who are more experienced and having diverse backgrounds.
In conclusion, while there are disadvantages in moving to another countries to work, with taking family, like financial burdens and not being able to get accustomed to the new environment, these are outweighed by advantages as moving abroad can make children well-educated and this will give a competetive edge in their future careers.
