In today’s rapidly evolving world, cellphones are integral part of our life. While some individuals argue that youngsters should own mobile phones, others disagree with the argument. This essay will examine both viewpoints before presenting my opinion on the matter.

On one hand, proponents of allowing mobile phones at an early age believes, that it is beneficial for children, who are alone at home while both parents are working. Parents can work stress-free in the office, as they can check upon children’s by video calling on their cellphone. Moreover, number of youngsters are enrolled in extracurricular activities. To keep their parents updated on the class timing or in case of any emergency, a child can contact using cellular device.

On the other hand, people who argue that their should be an age restriction before handing mobile phones to children’s. To begin with, parents should monitor children’s activities while using mobile phone. There has been a significant increase in cybercrime, criminals often target children as they do not possess sufficient knowledge. For example, a child may click on a link received through the text message which may allow criminal to access data on the device. Furthermore, exposure to radiation rays emitted by digital devices can have negative impact on a child’s health.

In my opinion, youth should be guide properly on how to use the mobile phones. The understanding often comes with an age, hence there should be a restriction before allowing child to posses mobile phones. Digital illiteracy among children’s make them prone to cyberattacks, resulting in data corruption. Additionally, children have low immunity in comparison to adults, harmful radiations from cellphones have detrimental effect on their health.
