Several people hold the view that governments should allocate more funds towards maintenance of natural habitats, for instance forests and water bodies, and towards preservation of endangered species. I second this thought and consider it necessary to protect lives of the animals on verge of extinction and the environment they survive in.
With growing urbanization, humans have paid much less attention towards safety and security of animals and their habitat. In ancient times, animals were considered predators that could hunt and kill humans, however, in the twenty-first century it is true as otherwise. We have built commercial and residential buildings by clearing out forests, stripping various animals of their homes for material gains. As a result these creatures of the wild are forced into the civilization in search for food where they either get killed by hunters or caged in zoos.
It is a known fact that for survival on this planet, the balance of the nature needs to be maintained. Every creature on this planet has a purpose to serve and as a result of the actions of humans, an increasing number of animal species are closer to extinction which would disrupt the balance of the nature. At this rate the humans will only be left with tall buildings and climate change to deal with after the animal population has wiped off of the planet’s surface.
It is hence the need of the hour to smartly spend a nation’s finances for saving the environment and the endangered species before it is too late. Like it is rightfully said, it is better to be safe than to be sorry.
