It goes beyond doubt that the number of traveling is increasing at a noticeable rate; considering this a lot of individuals assume that international tourism holds drawbacks for their countries. My initial impression is that this approach leads to not only environmental challenges but also an increase in accommodation prices. However, there are several solutions for these problems that I will illustrate after presenting problems.
Most significantly, tourists can make air pollution by utilizing airplanes or cars for transportation. To elaborate on this issue, a plethora of vehicles emit hazardous gases into air; therefore, this ends up increasing pollution in air in which it causes several health problems for residents of that spot such as asthma. Additionally, the cost of housing increase roughly due to a rise in utilization of them. To exemplify, A survey conducted by BBC radio revealed the fact that there is a strong connection between the number of tourist country, such as in Turkiye and the cost of housing.
To solve this problem, governments can enforce regulation to boost the use of eco-friendly transportation such as electric cars or solar ships. As a matter of fact, the administrations are the most powerful group to control and solve these kinds of problems by enacting rule of using friendly vehicles. Furthermore, countries can use the price of travel industries such as entry fees of monuments and parks to construct especial accommodation. Consequently, tourists are able to stay there instead of hiring local houses. For instance, the other day, I read an article mentioning that policymakers of Italy, investigating the best way to decrease the amount of housing price, have to come to the conclusion that spending the money come from tourism industry on establishing new homes only for tourists is the most practical solution.
On this basis, it can be inferred that, although tourists have several benefits for countries, they can increase air pollution as well as housing costs. However, government can address this problem by enacting rules on using environmentally friendly vehicles and constructing especial houses for tourists.
