In this contemporary era, when social media, smartphone and hustling lifestyle are becoming prevalent, many individuals believe that social networking sites such as Facebook have had extremely detrimental effect on individuals and society. I strongly endurse with this assertion because spending too much time online can lead to various destructive aspects.

As far as I concerned, social media user tend to spent excessive amount of time online at the expenses of real-live interactions with relatives and friend. Because of its addictive function, many individuals of all ages, especially teenager and young adult prefer easing their mind in virtual environment to facing with several issues. Consequently, the time spending social networking increases rapidly and lead individuals to sendentary lifestyle and many metal health cushion such as depression, dissastisfaction and feelings of anxiety. For instance, many personages like to show off their talent, their education background and also their wealth, when seeing that, a group of individuals may feel peer pressure, disappointing about themselves,…

Furthermore, there is a prevalence that many individuals now tend to be trusting all the information on the internet with fully understanding about the implications. Although knowing Facebook is rife with misleading and ambiguous information, many people still choose to believe news on it, hence can have drastic ramifications. Despite not uploading doubtful news on the media, sharing it constantly without thinking of its consequences can be a type of cybercrimes and be penaltied. Fake news also can immediately lead to detrimental effect to readers and indirectly to its victims.

In conclusion, spending too much time on social networking sites has enormous adverse effects and ramifications on individuals’ lives, so taking everything into consideration can help to avoid its negative impacts.
