Recent incidents such as the pandemic due to the Coronavirus opens everyone’s eyes to find a way to engage with people without physically meeting them. Because of that, many people thought that the education system nowadays would be no longer there by the mid-21st century. I strongly believe that the system will remain as it is in the future as there is no better alternative than today’s classroom.
Firstly, the physical classes are much more interactive than the digital classes. For instance, students’ facial expressions can be easily judged, whether they understand the topic or just flown away by their head. Also, the teachers feel more comfortable giving their lectures as they can move freely and easily track the situation. Students, on the other hand, give prompt responses if anything is left unnoticeable or they don’t understand the topic at all. To conduct a class more efficiently and more lively there is no alteration of the current system.
Likewise, taking exams online ain’t a convenient way to filter the right students and provide the exact marks that they deserve. During the pandemic, most of the institutions took examinations using online platforms and failed to distinguish the truly knowledgeable students from the others who don’t pay attention to the classes at all. That’s why the current system is necessary to evaluate students properly.
On the other hand, digital classes have some advantages. Such as, if any fresher misses a lecture then he can see the recording in his leisure time. Also, he can pause at any point and take notes out of the lecture which will eventually help him before any assignments.
In conclusion, I believe that the current education will continue in the future because this is possibly the best way to render knowledge to others and judge someone more accurately.
