In the debate over whether children watch television positively or negatively, while many people think television’s addictive features disturb children’s focus on essential studies and bring several health issues such as insomnia, others argue that it offers great opportunities to refresh their minds and have fun. I firmly agree with the idea that television can be beneficial for children in an appropriate way.
To begin with, television creates an ideal opportunity for children to enjoy themselves. Young boys and girls have a great amount of time even if they finish their whole studies and households, they might bother their parents by asking to play something. Television can offer joyful shows whenever children want, which gives their parents more free time. Moreover, television has safety. For instance, phones or iPads possess a similar advantage but children can easily watch harmful or inappropriate videos and fall for scams.
However, television primarily shows content that is suitable for all ages, reducing parents’ concerns. Also, TV shows can play a role in communicating with people. Children can have a conversation with friends about TV shows, leading to fostering a strong relationship. Nevertheless, parents should oversee their children not obsess with TV. Watching TV beyond the limits holds a series of problems such as neglecting homework or insufficient sleep. In conclusion, television offers a great way to spend children’s free time making children smile and topics of talk between their peers under the regular checks by their parents, not spend too much time on it.
