In recent years, the number of language learners have significantly grown. Many individuals prefer to explore abroad to acquire a new language rather than learning in their hometown. While there are some benefits of studying abroad such as broaden students’ horizons and becoming independent, it also comes at cost for student who is studying abroad in terms of living and visa applications.
On the one hand , there are some obvious benefits studying abroad. One of the main positives of it is that broaden students’ horizons. Indeed, those who learning abroad have difference compared to other students because their horizons are broaden. This is because. Overseas students are exposed to different cultures and customs. For example, my friend who is studying foreign country knows many cultures and she speaks English better than others. Second advantage is becoming independent. Students studying foreign countries are responsible for cooking, cleaning and paying bills and they will learn foreign language. As a result, opening the door to better job opportunities because of knowing a new language and study overseas. Therefore, studying abroad is an appealing option.
On the other hand, studying abroad can cause some problems. The main and prominent disadvantage could be problems which are related to living . To be more precise, students have to find accommodation and pay bills. Another issue is that related to visa applications. If there are not visa applications, living and studying abroad can be difficult
In conclusion, learning abroad can offer some benefits like broaden students’ horizons, but its negatives should also taken into the account.
