Nowadays, a lot of classes are done through online tools. A lot of people believe that it is better to learn through materials on the computer, rather than using the same materials but printed on paper. However, in my opinion I think that it is more beneficial to use printed materials.
On the one hand, using online materials can be positive for nature and our pockets. Learning from our computer can save us a lot of money and time. Usually students do not have a lot of money which is needed for paper based materials. Therefore, using online materials can save them money and time which would they need to spend on printing. Another reason for online learning is laying in the fact that we do not need to do any harm to the environment. Paper is made from the trees, in addition to that, a lot of trees need to be cutted down for a sheet of paper. Choosing online learning can save forests around the world. Also, being able to learn online became mandatory, because a lot of classes are taught online.
On the other hand, there are several reasons why to choose printed materials over online scripts. Looking at the screen can be very tiring for our eyes and can harm our vision. However, using materials on the paper does not harm our health. Paper have natural white color, while screen have white light which can be uncomfortable. Highlighting on the paper is easier than on the online materials. Different types of markers and colors can be used on paper. For example, I am using paper materials and different color of markers for different information. If something is important I am using red marker, however if something is less important I will choose green color.
Also, printed scripts are usually easier to carry around than computers and information can be found easier.
In conclusion, there are positive reasons for using online materials and the major one is environmental benefit. However, there are quite few handy reasons why we should use printed scripts. In my opinion, paper based materials are more beneficial and easier to use.
