While some people believe that using printed materials is preferable, others hold the view that children should study using internet resources. Although there are many advantages to using printed material for learning, I believe that the latter view is more beneficial.
On one hand, some educators argue that printed materials are better for concentration. A physical book does not have pop-up ads or internet notifications, creating a distraction-free environment. Furthermore, many students find it easier to remember information when they can physically highlight text or write notes on the pages. This tactile experience is often considered a significant advantage for deep study.
On the other hand, I believe that online materials offer much more flexibility for modern students. For instance, digital files are incredibly portable; instead of carrying heavy books, a student can have an entire library on one tablet. As a result, students can access all the information available online that helps them focus on their studies. Additionally, searching for information in a digital format is much faster, as students can use keywords to find exactly what they need in seconds. Moreover, online resources are often more cost-effective and updated more frequently than printed ones, making them a more practical choice. Furthermore, using digital files is better for the environment. If students use PDFs instead of printed books, fewer trees will need to be cut down for paper, directly improving air quality. This is a great way to protect our planet.
In conclusion, while printed books are effective for enhancing focus, I believe that the benefits of online materials are far greater. They are lighter, faster to search, and more affordable. In my opinion, as technology continues to advance, digital learning will become the most essential tool for all students
