Band 5+: Many people go through life doing work that they hate or have no talent for. Why does this happen? What are the consequences of this situation? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In this generation, where most of the people are literate unlike the olden days, but many do not enter into the scope of job they like or what they study in their academics. In this essay I would like to state and share the details regarding the statement mentioned.

First and foremost, the revolution of education took heaps and bounds as compared to the ancient times. In this era, the educational system is mainly mark-based than skill-based. This leads to a situation where students are driven to score higher marks rather than acquiring the skills required. Another reason is the downfall of certain fields as time pass by. For instance, students without proper knowledge are forced to work in a place where either they are not interested or have no talent for.

Secondly, as I mentioned above going to jobs that they are uninterested can dramatically lead to frustration and mental imbalance. People tend to become fed up of their daily routine doing the things they do not like. Now-a-days, there are many articles in the newspapers and magazines mentioning about the suicidal cases due to work pressure. This can also develop inferiority complex among the people over a period of time. To avoid this, the government can take measures and improvise changes in the educational system. Awareness among people should also be created through campaigns and programs about the emergence of new fields.

In conclusion, people should focus both on the marks as well as the knowledge in the subjects. This can help in building a strong future. Proper consulting should be done about the emergence of new courses which has better scope.
