It is an undeniable fact that the majority of developing nations’ people pass away from curable diseases, however, they have medicine, but they are not able to buy it due to the high cost. I strongly believe that developed nations’ giant pharmaceutical companies need to lower the price to cure low-income people.
To commence with, diseases like COVID-19 and plague impact the world by affecting the economy and health of many people. For instance, in 2019, many people were infected with disease, especially on the African continent, where a proper amount of oxygen cylinders and medical equipment were provided by the USA to show humanity and save a huge number of inhabitants. Furthermore, to cure the diseases of poor people, vaccines were provided at half the original price. According to research conducted by Western Sydney University, about 90% of Asian developing countries are provided antidotes and surgical items with subsidies to make them cheap and affordable.
On the other hand, if undeveloped nations always get facilities and financial aid, then they will become more reliable to other countries, despite the fact that they need to allocate their budgets and do research in the health industry. In addition, to make drugs to cure cancer and brain diseases requires a big investment and increases production costs; if companies lower the price, then there will be a chance of financial problems.
In conclusion, citizens’ health needs to be a top priority to assure good health, and affordable medicine technology companies need to help needy people and save lives.
