Smartphones have become a fundamental part of our life and a lot of people usually spend their spare time surfing on the internet, chatting or scrolling on social networks.
Probably we do not give so much importance, but in our pocket we have an incredible piece of technology. Smartphones connected to the Internet can really do everything, from reading the latest news from America, to chatting with our old friend in Australia. They are always with us, thus if we do not know something, we can immediately search on the net to obtain the answer. On the other side, this “ready-to-use” experience leads to an overuse of them, because when people are bored or they have some free time, they tend to spend it with their smartphone.
For this reason, in my view, we need an imposition of the maximum time a day that we can use our smartphone to do “light things”, such as using Instagram or playing games. In fact, usually, people prefer using their smartphones instead of going out to meet other people or playing sports. I do not believe that using smartphones is always a bad aspect, because, thinking on my own experience, I have learned a lot of new things from videos and blogs watched on my cell phone. In fact, on the Internet we can find an incredible variety of educational arguments, but there are also lots of trash.
To conclude, I believe that smartphones have brought a very important improvement in our life, although, we need to use them responsibly, in order to maintain social contact and a healthy life.
