There is no doubt that travel has some advantages, including how it expands our horizons. In this essay I will highlight why I completely agree with this statement.
To begin with, one of the significant advantages of travelling is that it helps us to learn and improve our languages beside our mother tongue. For instance, a person who learns Spanish initially, then travels to Spain for travelling couple of weeks there will have a chance to practice their Spanish as they might often interact with local people. Being in force condition will encourage us to immerse ourselves to the community, as a result, we can speak confidently and naturally. This is how travel can widen our knowledge in terms of learning or honing language skills. Of course, this particular experience will be considered to be “expensive” as not many people can get the same chance, and it will so much different with learning language from online sessions and non-native speaker.
Secondly, travel exposes us with new culture and community as we will interact with them directly after we have arrived at our destination. To illustrate, many Australian go to explore Bali, a beautiful island in Indonesia, the different culture and people will attract our curiosity to engage more. In the journey process, we will learn how local people make progress, how to understand their culture in order to have some respects. Furthermore, interacting with the community will give us new perspective as we may share our own experiences.
In conclusion, it is true travel broadens the mind, especially related to learn and improve language skills; understand new cultures and community.
