Nowadays there is a controversial discussion about universities student acceptance. Some believe that universities should accept only the students who demostrated higher grades, while others think that youngs should have opportunities to study and improve their skills. In this essay i will discuss both opinions and give my own view. I personally agree with the former.
On the one hand, all students have their own ambitions, goals, capabilities, dreams and plans for their future. The key for their dream life and dream job is universities. But there are some problems with acceptance for those educational institutions there are certain tests that will decide students future. But, some students are not good at solving tests some are good at oral exams. And testing everyone with one single system is not fair enough, because one exam can reduce people’s lives and decide for themselves whether they would have a career or not. For instance in Uzbekistan where i come from a lot of families tell their daughters that they have only one chance to enter university if they cannot they would marry. Lots of girls are try really hard and even cannot pass the exam and it is not their fault. But no one care about that and girls have no choice they would have a family at a really young age.
Despite these poor young people’s fates, universities have their own expectations for their acceptance system. Firstly they cannot just allow everyone who applied to enter because they simply have not enough places they’re limited. The test is the way to decide who deserves that place. Secondly, if universities will accept everyone without examination students will quit trying and studying as they have no need for that. Imagine if medical university will accept everyone who just have desire, that would be catastrophic for people.
In my opinion universities should accept students who passed the test, but at the same time tests should be fair enough without bribes or unequal treatment because of their gender race or family.
In conclusion, universities and students should understand each other and treat respectfully. Students should try harder and if they failed first time they should try next or and never lost motivation universities should make all the tests fair to everyone and care about their potential students. Also parents play crucial role here they should support their children instead of marrying them no matter their what gender is.
