It is widely believed that students with high marks have more opportunities to get into universities than students with low marks. While many universities accept only high GPA, I support the view that everyone should have a chance to get in and GPA is not the main achievement for applicants.
On the one hand, it is argued by some that only looking for students with great marks is easier to have a strong reputation around other colleges. In other words, having excellent GPA in application is trusted way to be accepted. The head of educational portals have to be sure in student and see their benefit on society and the future. Leadership often notices the developed personality traits in comparison to others. Starting with students’ look that is more discipline from the perspective of decision maker, and, moreover, ending with stereotypes that already had become a common practice.
On the other hand, leadership should notice all the achievements and not only pay attention on good grades. Their primary responsibility is to see the potential in every person who apply in. There are amount of other features are needed to observe by decision-maker. Mostly, it can be sport success, olympiades, essays and many other ways to show themselves. In my opinion, no one should shame for a GPA, furthermore notice all the personality student has. For instance, educational university, which includes only students with GPA 4.0 stands many steps lower than institution which focus on potential in people. Consequently, colleges have to be tend to check all the application requirements before accepting student in.
Having looked at both sides of the argument, while most universities accept only applicants with high GPA, personally, I believe it’s better getting into colleges with strong documents and not only focus on high marks.
