Nowadays, more and more companies are choosing interviews as a way to recruit and evaluate job seekers. Therefore, there are many questions as to whether interviewing is the best way to get a job. Personally, I feel that interviewing also brings many benefits.
First of all, recruiting employees by interview sometimes brings many risks to the company because they can deceive candidates. For example, they may say they have extensive experience or help increase the company’s productivity when they do little to help the company Another reason for this is that it is not enough to judge the employee’s ability, for example, during work they may cause trouble or they may be lazy. Therefore, they need to be evaluated and considered both during work and when working in groups with other employees. Therefore, interviewing is not entirely a good way to recruit employees
However, interviewing brings many benefits to both the company and the candidates because it can be quick and convenient. Some of the reasons this is the case are because it is easy for both parties to arrange a time for the interview without any delay. Not only that, employers can monitor the candidate’s body language, eyes, and attitude – things that sometimes reveal more about the candidate than spoken language. In addition, direct assessment methods can be applied such as using physiognomy, communication ability, and situation handling skills. As a result, the interview will help the company know the capabilities and qualities of the employee.
In conclusion, interviewing sometimes brings risks in recruiting candidates, but it is a method that, although widespread, is still quite effective for companies.
