People often have different opinion about what schools should focus on. Certain individuals believe that education should mainly prepare children to be good citizens and workers rather than focus on personal benefits. In my opinion, I disagree with this idea because I believe learning should help students find their own self. This essay will explain why personal benefits are more important.
The first reason for my opinion is schools should teach students how to understand their own self before teaching them how to work. This is important because many student study only to make their teacher or parent happy, not because they know what they truly like. For example, a student may always study medical because people say it give a good job, but deep inside the student feels happy when learning about the sea.
