Regarding the causes of this trend, it is noticeable that society has undergone a significant transformation of human development, leading to some negative consequences. People are becoming more individualistic that makes individuals become indifferent towards others’ needs and feelings, resulting in an erosion of social responsibility and moral values. Moreover, the rapid development of social media and online communication facilitates the growing disrespectful and offensive behavior without suffering any consequences such as online bullying. For example, a person can easily behave improperly online by using a clone account which allows that person to hide their identity, so that their crime is much harder to be caught.
However, we can prevent this trend from accelerating by fostering a sense of community and social responsibility to encourage people to take part in community activities and events. Additionally, we should also build a healthy Internet environment and actively report negative behaviors. Furthermore, increasing the punishment for the individuals who are involved in those violations to restrict further consequences is undeniably necessary. This not only discourages developing offensive behaviors but also address people’s concern.
In conclusion, the increase in antisocial behavior and lack of respect towards others is an alarming problem, but we can deal with it through the encouragement of social responsibilities and values like empathy and respect, promoting a better living quality.
