Nowadays, a large number of people are choosing to travel abroad than ever before. From my point of view, this option is probably beneficial for individuals who are seeking new experiences and improving personal growth.
One of the main reasons why people travel to other countries is that travelling has become more affordable. In the past, flight tickets were extremely expensive, but nowadays many airlines offer low-cost flights. In addition, travelling abroad can sometimes be cheaper than travelling within one’s own country. For example, a one-week trip to Burabay in Kazakhstan may cost around $1,000 per person, whereas some people can travel to Bali for a similar or even lower price. Therefore, many individuals choose to visit foreign countries instead of travelling domestically.
In my opinion, this is a positive development. The main reason is that when people travel frequently, they learn about different cultures and languages. Moreover, they can broaden their horizons and develop their critical thinking skills more quickly. They can also make many new friends while travelling. In addition, travelling allows people to see how others live in reality. Social media platforms such as Instagram often show people living happy and luxurious lives, but this is not always true. For example, the blogger Rizaa has travelled to 22 countries, including Afghanistan and Iran, and she explains how people live in real life rather than how their lives are portrayed on social media.
To conclude, people are increasingly choosing to travel abroad as it is often affordable and offers unique experiences. I consider this to be a positive development because it broadens people’s horizons and cultural awareness.
