In recent times, most people choose watch films and TV shows in their home, instead of enjoy films in the cinema. In my opinion, this trend could have both positive and negative consequences. Although there are some benefits of this trend, I would agrue that there are far more drawbacks.
To begin with, it is important to note that there are many advantages of watch movies at home that the cinema can not bring for us. It is obvious that watching films at home offer a cost-saving rather than in the movie theater, at home have various option for food because we can self-cook instead of only eat popcorn. In addition, watching movies at home also save time for people who are busy but still want time to unwind. A good case in point would be that streaming services like Netflix and Disney provide a variety range of films, we only pay around 7 dollar per month for watching movies compared to 15 to 30 dollars for a ticket in cinema. Thus, home entertainment is an optimal choice, is more econimical, and well-suited for everyone. The decline in movie viewing rates has a direct impact on the economy and workers.
On the other hand, there are more and more people enjoying films at home has some disadvantages. It is important to remember that if the number of moviegoes decline constantly, it will create negative impacts for the film industry. In other words, the demanding of enjoy movie in cinema decrease so not many business are interested in investing to this filed resulting the films quality drops the movie industry to get into the stalemate, this negatively affects the country’s economy and job market. For instance, if the the film industry disappears the country will lose a money-making industry from that people in this sector such as actor, director and producer will face unemployment.
In conclusion, it is my belief that watch movies or TV at home instead of going out will have both beneficial and detrimental effects, while I recognize the positive of this trend, in consider it have lots of disadavantages.
