A large number of scientists claim that the studies on children’s behaviour can inform us about their future conditions regarding criminality, whereas others do not favour this opinion. From my point of view, offensive traits can not be measured by genetic factors, and there are various effective methods to prevent children from becoming criminals.
One crucial reason why I believe that criminal factors can not be assessed by genetic establishment, as these characteristics are gained further life by people, even children. Children’s perception ability is different from adults, because they can learn many factors quickly, as opposed to adults. Therefore, criminal behaviour is not inherited from parents, and children often learn it from crime movies and other related films. For example, the Cambridge University reported one important examine recently, which children’s brains are able to instill criminal activities more than honest behaviour into their consciousness. In this sense, these opinions are enough to believe criminal behaviour is gained through visual or material values, as well as the genetic aspect plays any role in this situation.
Nevertheless, there are several underlying methods to prevent children from offensive traits. Firstly, educational institutions play a vital role in protecting children from these undesirable factors, as they have a huge effect on children rather than parents. Realistically, teaching them about the bad effects of criminal activities or their negative consequences may have a crucial effect on their awareness. Secondly, governmental support can help children to grow more desirable society. Children who are growing up the poor families are more vulnerable to crime; however, some government initiatives, such as scholarships, financial support, and equal opportunities, can reduce risks. A prime example could be Germany, where the government supports poor families with various development policies, and they are now growing up in a more crime-free environment.
In conclusion, I assert that criminal behaviour is independent of genetic factors, and various methods can exist in protecting children from offensive behaviour. While crime-related movies and visual materials can trigger a desire to become a criminal, education and government support can help children grow up with more positive behaviour.
