As the technology being continuosly updated, it is important for the schools to teach their students of how to build the advance technology or usage of it. Therefore, some modern schools insist their students to bring their own laptop computers in the school. There are both the advantages and disadvantages of this trend. Although it have some drawbacks, I firmly believes that it is a positive development and have a lot of advantages than its limitations.
The main advantage behind this is children get the basic knowledge regarding the technology from the childhood. It is easier for them to build a new advanced tools or websites in the future if they have strong foundation from the early childhood so because of that they need laptop to practically understand the technology. They can easily learn the advanced version of that course in the college or in further studies. For instance, a student who learn C language in school could easily learn C++ in college than a student who does not learn C in the school. Another benefit would students learn how to work smart rather than doing hard work like labours. Technology is a very useful tool if they get access in the useful way. Students could solve their doubts with the help of AI chat bots or could watch the practical videos of the topic in the laptop which they does not understand in the classroom. Therefore, students should bring their laptop in the school for their own flexibility.
However it have some drawbacks. The main limitation is if their parents are poor and do not have enough to buy laptop for their kid then the child might feel disappointed from their parents because all their classmates have their own but they did not have their own laptop. Moreover, it may affect their studies. The second disadvantage is addiction. Child might get addicted with the laptop. In laptop the child could play lot of games or access un appropriate website which might get harmful to them and get addicted with them. These would affect their mental health as well as their education. Therefore, schools should provide their computers which have child locks and for the specific hours which is beneficial for the students.
In conclusion, own laptop would help the kids with their education and makes them smarter. In addition, having a little knowledge regarding the technology would help child in their further studies. However, it have some drawbacks. The children get addicted from the laptop or could access the websites which is not accessible to under 18 people and if there parents is poor and might not able to buy laptop for their child than the child feel sad because all other classmates have their own.
