Nowadays, individuals residing in vast cities are facing a different issues in their daily life. In my view, while there are a number of problems, including air contamination, traffic congestion and high cost of living, it is possible to mitigate this problem with viable solutions, such as limitation of private cars and increasing green spaces.
Air pollution is at the top of the list of problems. Due to the gases from a large number of vehicles, factories and the lack of the green spaces, the air be contaminated and can cause respiratory problems. Another serious issue is traffic jam. Because of each family has one private car at home, people get stuck in traffic congestions for long time, especially at the peak times. As a consequence, the daily commute in these jams is a source of frustration. In addition, the general cost of living in mega-cities, the accommodation’s rent prices, going out and taxis, is overpriced. Living there for those living on verage salary is prohibitive.
One of the solutions to these problems which is obvious to everyone is expanding green spaces and encouraging people to use public transports more instead of private ones. As a result, the air would be more clean and the amount of traffic conjunctions would be decreased. Another measure is decreasing the prices at affordable rate for ordinary people or rising their pay.
To conclude, I firmly believe air pollution, traffic congestions and non-affordable prices are both leading to difficulties in daily life for those living in big cities. However, if expanding green spaces and public transports are introduced in a proper way, it is possible to prevent further aggravation of this issue.
