Band 5+: People who live in large cities face a range of problems in their daily life. What are the main problems people in cities face? How can the problems be solved?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

The number of cities is increased day by day. Some residents think that living comfortably in them is not possible. These thought appears because of some problems such as noise pollution and traffic; however, there are methods whereby they can be solved.

Living in the cities has several issues. The major problem is noise pollution. There are many people, buildings, restaurants, cars and other factors in the urban areas, which leads to a lot of noise. Individuals can not rest peacefully during the day, and this affects their mental health negatively. Another difficulty of cities is traffic. Citizens face to heavy traffic every day in urban areas, they feel stressful, and this makes them angrier, which decreases their life expectancy.

Turning to the possible solutions, one of them is increasing awareness for using public transport. Public transport is the most effective way for solving traffic. If people prefer to visit by public transport instead of their personal cars, the number of cars in the cities will be decreased, and in the end traffic will disappear. Governments are able to organize events for increasing awareness. Passing laws for declining noise is another solution. For example, if governments impose punishment for loudy people and places, not only these individuals and areas but also noise pollution will be reduced.

In conclusion, raising the awareness and passing strict rules are two available solutions for making life in the urban areas more possible for citizens. I hope that living in the cities will be more comfortable for the posterity in the future.
