Despite a great deal of students who manage their study well in schools, a majority of students struggle with focusing and thus aren’t attentive for several reasons. Also what could some of the solutions to this problem be?
To begin with, distractions are a main problem to the attentiveness students have in the classroom. Students enjoy engaging in conversations during study hours and thus don’t get sufficient time to focus in class. Additionally, distractions could interrupt teaching and teachers would moreover find it difficult to revise with students as a result of disturbances as well as knowing that some students don’t pay attention in class.
Whereas, another issue includes: stress. Stress is a main factor of many physical and mental issues and therefore, students that struggle from stress from either: personal issues at home, a passing of a loved one, etc. In addition to this, stress would have a negative impact on students’ ability to score and fare well as well as interrupt their natural ability to concentrate in school. These are a few examples of distraction in schools.
In conclusion, solving issues such as this would require awareness and assistance. Schools aren’t well informed of situation such as these and it might not be the case in almost every classroom. Students should also be informed of the results of not being attentive in class and how it would effect their level of understanding in the future. Students that struggle with stress should speak to professionals that would assist them.
