Majority of teenagers encounter cyberbullying on social media, which results in severe emotional and psychological repercussions. Two of the main contributors to cyberbullying are poor upbringing and inferior environment. The issue can be addressed by parental contribution and better surroundings for a child.
One of the main causes of digital bullying is parents’ bad raising. They do not focus on teaching offsprings to interact with their peers appropriately, but rather teach basic, non-social lessons. Consequently, teenagers have a strong likelihood of becoming a cyberbully and disturbing online users due to unawareness of basic online ethics. Another reason for cyberbullying is a hostile environment which can not be identified at a first glance. Parents often neglect the environment in which their children are placed, which often includes dangerous websites, classrooms and etc.
Resolution of the problem can be achieved by parents being a perfect exemplar for their teenagers, as well as allocating more time towards discussing serious matters at a supper, for instance. By doing this, children will have enhanced awareness of not only cuyberbullying, but also other relevant issues. Along with that, they will see a better person in their parents and this will result in a better relationship. Second cause’s pottential is, obviously, filtering and overall being more aware of the type of digital content and communities the child is involved in. Similarly, placing the offspring into a friendly and caring environment, which typically includes, schools, clubs, courses and so on.
In conclusion, cyberbullying is a problem that is caused by poor upbringing and inferior environment of a teenager. This can be addressed by more attention paid on serious matters, being an exemplary parent and being aware of the digital surroundings of a child.
