Many teenagers prefer to study, socialise or use social media instead of sleeping. Some people think schools should take greater responsibility for teaching young people about healthy sleep habits. I absolutely agree with this thesis, all people need to control the duration quality of sleep, especially children and teenagers due to their growing up. Firstly processes that occur during a sleep are very important for people’s health, memory and energy. Secondly, correct time management may help students to be more productive, creative and positive. In this essay I will explain my opinion on this question.
The primary reason for my agreement is that sleep affects every part of our life. If you sleep well, your body and mind repair themselves, the level of energy increases and memory improves. People may feel more productive during the day after a good rest, our immune system also works better in this case. For example, it’s easier to memorise something important before going to bed, because your nervous system would analyse all of your thoughts all night.
Opponents of this view may think, that teenagers are able to choose the time for different activities by their own. But students should understand, that time is the most valuable resources. Therefore, it’s essential task for schools and parents to teach them how to manage their time in the correct way. For instance, if students complete all tasks without delay, they will be able to make their bedtime routine more pleasant and calm.
In conclusion I want to notice, that healthy sleep is one of the most necessary tools for making their lives more enjoyable and bright. So
it is clear that schools really should take greater responsibility for teaching young people about healthy sleep habits.
