Band 5+: "Many things can influence the academic achievement and emotional growth of a student. In this regard, peers have more of an impact than teachers do. To what extent, do you agree or disagree with this opinion?"

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Many people think that classmate have a more significant effect on student’s school performance and emotional developmet. In my opinion,i believe that schoolmates are more impact as an academic motivation, while educators serve as a guide to student’s emotional maturity.

To begin with, student areproved more movitaved when their performance under peer pressure..As an exmapkle, there are a ranking between class members and there are academic championship around the school years. In most case, they help ellict from the desire to out perform other student to be at the highest position at class or school. As a result,it push learner forward to academic race, with the determination to show their ability to impress their friend. Therefore, peer rival definitely brings about a greater effect on an individual’s success in the classroom.

On the other hand, teacher play an important role in emotional orientation, especially when life issue or conflict occurs.Young student are likely to emotional conflicts due to the lack of experience in life,so teacher,as mature adult with the lengthen lifetime and rich experience of life, can give a hand with reasonable solution,or provide some mental support to back them up from difficulties they might be facing. The advice from teacher in this regard would certainly be more helpful than peers who might not be seen enough in life.

In conclusion,I partly disagree with this statement,as a teacher and friend affect each individualon different aspect and they are same weight to student’s personal development. While peers competition can be motivate to student’s academic performance, but the support from a mature person like teacher can be cruicial to their mental health or emotional growth.
