Nowadays, a lot of young people spend an extended period of time using social media on a daily basis. As a result, people are encountering several severe consequences, such as problem with eyes and destruction in their daily routines. However, these problems can be effectively reduced by several solutions, like strict regulation by parents and restriction for using social media by governments.
Many young people nowadays are addicted to social media. As a consequence, their vision deteriorates as they spend more time on social media time. For example, if you look at something, your eyes focus on it. When you change things those you look at it, your eyes change their focus to make vision clear and maintain eye flexibility. Eye flexibility deteriorates as we look at phone screen excessively. That is why, many young people wear glasses. Another impact of addiction to social media is changes in our daily life routine. People spend an excessive amount of time on social media, remaining less time for other tasks. For example, people go to bed too late and get up early in order not to be late to school or work. In other words, they sleep less than sleeping norm. As a result, they feel exhausted and stress.
Although impacts of social media addiction are severe, they can be effectively addressed by some strict regulations and restrictions. Firstly, parents must take responsibility for their children and regulate them with making some restrictions. For example, they might make a restriction to use telephones for social media no more than 1 or 2 hours. So, people can focus on other productive activities instead of social media. Secondly, governments should make some restriction, for example, blocking some harmful websites. For instance, the USA and some other countries have blocked Tiktok. As a result, addiction to Tiktok decreased noticeably across those countries.
In conclusion, the impacts of social media addiction are severe, they can be reduced by strict regulations and restrictions. To fulfill that, parents and governments should work together. If parents control their children on a daily basis and government make some strict restriction, the impacts of social media addiction will be reduced and even eliminated altogether.
