Each year,a huge amount of money is spent on space research.Which makes people complain that the advancement of our planet need that money more.In my opinion, in the future the earth is no more a place to settle in because of the enviromental issues, and the discovery of human friendly planets is crucial so spending on it is accurate .
by the time coming in, our planet would not have the capacity to contain human being no more due to the serious enviromontal problems that it is suffering from. climate change is increasingly getting worst ,and that contirbutes to nature issues like, drought, deforestation, and ice melting. Unfortnetly, those major problems have no permanent solution, and since they form a no human friendly conditions, people start to invest more in space research .For instance, the green space in africa is being replaced with dry land day by day ,and as a result, people are questioning where to get nutritions and water from in the future.
Since saving our planet is nearly impossible, so a solution that can be done is looking for another planet with same or better living standards for human ,in addition, then we can look into spending money on those research as a investement for the upcoming generations that going to provide them with their living requirements, or otherwise people will be just waiting for their extinction. In this case NASA is doing a high level research on a new discoverd planet that is similar to earth, which means that instead of immigrating to another country we might be able to immigrate to another planet to fulfill our needs.
To conclude,although improving our life quality on earth is important we need to erase the selfishness, and spend on space research to find a new place becuase our life on this planet is endangered due to environmetal degradation.
