Band 5+: More and more couples are deciding to be "child-free", to have no children, in other words. Some people claim that those couples reach this conclusion through entirely selfish reasons. In recent times the “child-free” movement has come to prominence and become a controversial issue throughout society. Couples, who are unwilling to have children, are judged by the supporters of typical nuclear families due to excessive focus on their demands and wishes, while others respect their decision, caused by numerous challenges which modern world is struggling with. Regarding the fact that democratic values and freedom dominates in well-developed states, people are decent to choose what type of family order they want to have, despite of various ways of stigmatization.

Firstly, there are some concerns about how the upbringing of a new generation must benefit in terms of global depopulation. That is the reason why a significant number of women experience a high pressure to give birth as soon as possible. However, now it becomes more and more eminent to wait until females would be ready enough to take responsibilities that can cause a turning point in their life. Thus, it is completely their right to decide whether they have a desire to have a kid or not.

Secondly, individuals are tend to take better care of things that were not so vital for their ancestors, such as preventing environment from omniscient destruction. Moreover, such changes influence not solely on people’s daily routine, but also their family preferences. Therefore, newly emerged trend of “child-free” families should be treated more tolerantly and humans cannot be esteemed like creatures whose only function is continuing their kind.

To summarize all statements mentioned above, it is worth being underlined that people, who do not have a desire to extend their family, should not suffer from superficial attitude because of their decisions. Furthermore, these social shifts in youngsters’ mindsets might be a consequence of development that modern world face now.
