It is normal that people are curious over buildings that they are residing at the moment. There are various reasons that people give attention to places they live in. In this essay, two significant reasons will be highlighted to support my argument why people have that kind of behaviour.
One obvious reason is that people do not get involved in legal implication, which mean they are worried over money that have invested in their property. Some apartments are very expensive to purchase in downtown area and purchasing house could possibly means once in their lifetime. For example, my uncle bought one apartment in downtown Yangon, the capital city of Myanmar, and cost him around $40000, that is an unimaginable amount here compare to the minimum wage.
Another possible reason is that some people may have superstitious belief which has been passed down from their ancestors. Those kinds of people may believe that some house houses may contain evil spirits that have been residing for a long time and they are willing to investigate whether there are bad spirits in their houses. For instance, one of my friends named David held a religious chanting ceremony to drive out bad spirits living in his new house.
One prominent way to research the history is to simply search over internet and question the nearest neighbours. For example, one can go to the most popular mass media in their region and type the name of the house together with the location attached in it.
In conclusion, people sometimes may have fear of losing their money over their purchase of expensive items and having old believe may be the two key reasons of finding the history of their buildings. I believe that being critical can sometimes be helpful for us to some extent if we can apply it in the correct way.
