There have been drastic changes in sources of information people tend to use over a last 20-year period, and it is understandable that the traditional ways of obtaining data were replaced by contemporary technologies, such as Internet. In my view, the usage of the Internet to get news is beneficial to individuals.
There is no doubt that in the past people used to gain information from physical sources, such as newspapers, TV or magazines, which was not comfortable enough, as individuals had to adapt to a timetable of news programmes or go out and purchase newspapers in special stores. Due to technological advances and rapid development of the worldwide net, people no longer suffer from drawbacks of physical sources of data, opting for the Internet as much more convenient alternative, which let it become extremely ubiquitous. For instance, browsers, such as Google or Yandex, provide requested information within several seconds, making them almost unbeatable and omnipresent news delivers.
From my perspective, evolved Internet technologies for obtaining news have alleviated users’ lives significantly, as now people have unlimited access to all data from round the globe without any restrictions. In other words, people are not dependent from external factors in order to acquire information, such as distance or language, as Internet let them get all news from any country and in any language in a practically one app, which is extremely advantageous for everyone.
in conclusion, the speed of technological enhancements in terms of providing news have brought many alterations to ordinary peoples’ live, which I consider to be positive. Unequivocally, it has made news getting process almost immaculate for users.
