In modern days, with the increasing life expenses, higher income is needed to support a family. Thus, it is very common to find that both of the parents to be in jobs. This affects the relationships between parents and their children, leading to both good things and bad things.
First of all, the advantages of having both parents in a household to be working are, having higher income, which can bring benefits for the children life. For example, providing the offsprings with quality lifestyle, where they can live with ease, on top of that, parents can offer their children with higher educational support. Another positive affect is that, the children can become more dependent on themselves without always relying on their parents to do everything. This independence can help the children to take their responsibilities. However, the major drawbacks which comes with the tight working schedule of both the parents are, having less time to give a proper care for their children, such as spending quality time together, going out on family trips, and teaching them moral lessons. As a result, these lost of proper care and time given can create relationship gap between parents and their children. In addition to that, children without a proper life guidance from their parents can make bad decisions, which can lead to wrong path.
In conclusion, even though both parents working can contribute more income and supportive environment for children, we should also consider the lack of emotional support and guidance from parents.
