Band 5+: Most people accept that we now live in a globalised world but not everyone agrees that this is beneficial. To what extent is globalisation a positive or negative development?

The majority of people acknowledge that, the countries, societies, economies have become integrated. However, some people argue that the globalization have damaged the society and hence, discourage it strongly. The writer of this essay will discuss several ways in which globalization has helped in shaping the modern society and will support the opinion with relevant examples.

Firstly, the international trade has emerged the economy which helped in increasing the standard of living of the people in most third world countries. For instance, countries like Sri Lanka, Nepal and India which are still developing in economy has access to the globalized platform where they can import and export goods in different internationally recognized brands such as Apple products.

Secondly, to get the foreign currency into the country has mainly or unknowingly done through outsource of employee for example working in a foreign reputed company while living in a different country or migrating to the relevant regionmay bring foreign currency to the motherland in which helps, specially for the developing counties to balance their GDP within the year. this is one of the main advantage of globalization in the world

Thirdly, the education opportunities for international students through distance learning conducting by international authorities like Cambridge and Edexel ordinary level and advance level gives opportunity to students to get scholarships and explore the world

To conclude, globalization may have negative effect on the society while the merit side of this trend outweighing all the disadvantages it has.
