Some people believe that elderly people who are over 60 should retire rather than working. I strongly agree with this, and I will explain why I think that way.
The first point to consider is that they cannot work as efficiently as younger people. They cannot do labor, and they are less energetic. Naturally, people lose their strength and energy as they get older. This means that they cannot provide some benefits to the workforce of the country, and they are supposed to retire. Therefore, although old people are experiences on works, they cannot work efficiently as they did when they young.
Another reason that I find my perception more reasonable is that the retirement of older people increases workforce quality. In other words, if there are more teenagers and young adults, work will be more effective and faster. For example, the retirement age for soldiers is 45 years old. This means youngsters pose significant advantages to the workforce. Thereby, workforce of young people play a pivotal role on countries development.
In conclusion, the best option for people who are over 60 is to retire because they can no longer contribute to the country’s development, and it also widens employment opportunities for young people. Thus, they can console themself by doing domestic works such as gardening.
