Moviegoers of action films, crime dramas and war movies experience more excitement when they watch this genre. However, this remained troubles in real life. First, In the current era, We can see that the glamorization of violence occurs and it leads to a normalization of violence. For instance, we used to see women as an object of rape in movie to make the storyline more interesting. Currently, there are lots of rape cases and women are the most victims in this case. Most of people accuse women because of their appearance or having toxing friendship. They never consider that watching movies can influence our beliefs and attitudes by evoking emotions that lead to real-world actions. Furthermore, imitating often emerge as the other consequences of watching movie. Sometimes they feel the same position or having the same feeling like the role played by the actor. Take an example is joker. A phenomenon of joker cosplay happened in japan’s train, was an evident that imitating movie scene occured in real life. Stabbing people and burning the train were the examples that doer done as what joker did in the movie.
To cope this problem, some restriction is needed to provide the solutions. First, cinema should have a strict enforcement of age limitations for this movie genre. In addition, teens who have been allowed based on age, need to be accompanied by parents. Second, a film production is required to have responsibility in filtering and deciding the storyline.
In conclusion, normalization of violence and imitation as consequences of movie have obligations to be enforced strictly to the regulations.
