Many individuals believe that visual representation is more effective than the written part.
In my opinion, pictorial presentation is more eye-catching because it highlights the important part and makes it more engaging. It is also helpful for the individuals who find the reading part more difficult and cannot properly read the whole article. Moreover, illiterate people can also understand the concept by viewing pictures and graphics.
To commence with, newspaper and tv are two main widely used sources of information. In today’s busy world people do not have enough time to read whole article and newspaper. Instead, they prefer to have some visual presentation which I believe like other people is most easy to understand and remember. Images highlight the important concept and conveys overall message. One of my friend is deaf and one day we were watching news stories on tv and he was able to understand the news due to presence of graphs showing growing tend population in last 5 years in Canada.
Furthermore, some people have a hard time reading full article of 3-4 pages which may include strong dictionary which can sometimes make harder for individual to interpret the right meaning. In our country there are many illiterate people who can’t read or write. They only depend on visual or stories to understand. In addition, I am not interested in reading newspaper and to develop habit of reading newspaper daily I can first go with understanding pictures and then slowly shift towards words.
To conclude, I think words are more complex to understand as one word can convey different meaning whereas on other side pictures and stories are easier to understand.
