Nowadays many people prefer self employment rather than work for a company or organization due to the several reasons. In my opinion many employees choose self employment due to the lack of the independence and flexibility, moreover higher earning also might be primary explanation for people who choose to work themselves. However, self employment have some drawbacks. Including unstable income and social isolation from other workers.
Several factors can affect to individual’s choice for being self-employment. Working alone allows people to have flexible work hours, as they do not have to go to the office. So, people can arrange their time. Additionally, self employed individuals have the ability to earn greater salary than people who work for a company, as their income is not restricted. They can set their own prices, make a convenient schedule, and scale their businesses. For instance, influencers or content creators have a potential for higher earnings and greater freedom, moreover at the same time most of them enjoy their jobs.
However, working alone also comes with some disadvantages. Self employed people may face financial instability, which can negatively affect their career. In addition, becoming self employed especially in early stages, people can face lack of social interaction. Unlike office jobs, where employees interact with colleagues regularly, self employed people often work alone. Consequently, this can lead to feelings of loneliness.
In conclusion, while being self employed can have various benefits, still there can be some concerns like unstable job and social isolation. Therefore, workers should be careful choosing their working space.
