In recent times, many NGOs have launched various special events to attract the interest of some people, such as National Children’s Day and National Non-Smoking Day. I believe NGOs will attract the citizens’ attention in many ways, and the more attention from residents, the more donations will be collected.
Garner funding
Initially, many campaigns were carried out by NGOs long ago, both through mass media and offline campaigns involving many people. In this case, the campaign carried out through mass media targets the younger generation, who are skilled at using gadgets. However, offline campaigns are used for all groups. For example, in the commemoration of National Children’s Day and National No Smoking Day, brochures will be distributed on social media, advertisements on TV, and even large billboards will be made to attract the attention of many people. Also, on the brochure, it is stated to bring the best donations, which will be donated to charity foundations.
Meanwhile, residents were enthusiastic and flocked to attend the event. In addition, the more people who attend and participate in the campaign, the more donations can be collected. Furthermore, the donations that have been collected can be channelled through charitable foundations. For example, the Pelita Ilmu Foundation, an Indonesian NGO in the health sector, provides free exercise and health checks for the community. Besides, NGOs are also provided to facilitate people who want to donate to help provide health facilities. Hence, the donations from the community go back to the community.
In conclusion, NGOs use National Children’s Day and National Non-Smoking Day as an effort to increase the public’s attention. So, the more attention from the public, the more donations they can collect.
