Income plays a crucial role for a living. If each job gets a suitable compensation, especially money, it will be beneficial for not only individuals but also the economy. Nowadays, celebrities tend to earn more money than politicians. This essay will discuss on why this happens and explain why I believe it is a negative trend.
Both influencers and celebrities get higher salary because of particular reasons. Branding and marketing, for instance, will be potentially enhanced using them, leading sales to skyrocket. In Thailand, Ms. Chompoo Ariya who is remarkable actress gets approximately over 4,000,000 baht for being a brand ambassador of one of leading cosmetic brands. It, however, turned out that the return of inventment was higher than what was expected it was to be. The brand’s image, in addition, was uplifted to be a high-end brand, impacting a sustainable brand. What is more, the brand awareness increased exponentially.
Politicians, however, obviously get lower amount of money even though they are responsible for society and on behalf of publicity. This essay, including myself, believes it is a negative development and it may casue negative ramifications for all sectors. It is no doubt that if the income of politicians is less than other occupations, especially celebrities, people potentially consider not a good-valued job. The more people do not want to be a politician, the less people care about the society. Indeed, without
politicians, there are no one to be representatives who raise and solve the pervasice problems such as deforestation and climate change. The situation is totally dire.
In summary, although celebrities earn income higher than politicians due to businesses’benefits, I believe it would be better if the government consider increasing salary for politicians.
