Nowadays, famous people are often photographed by professional photographers wherever they go. While some people believe this is positive because the public is interested in celebrities lives, others argue that photographers are wrong to follow them everywhere. This essay will discuss both views and give my own opinion.
On the one hand, many people think photographing famous individuals is acceptable because celebrities choose a public life. Actors, singers, and tiktokers gain popularity through media exposure, and photographs help keep fans informed and entertained. For example, magazines and social media allow fans to see how their favourite stars live, dress, and spend their free time. This public interest also supports the entertainment industry and provides income for photographers and media companies. Therefore, some believe that being photographed is simply part of being famous.
On the other hand, others argue that photographers often invade celebrities privacy. Famous people are still human beings and deserve personal space, especially in private moments such as spending time with family or dealing with personal problems. In some cases, photographers follow celebrities aggressively, which can cause stress and even dangerous situations.
In my opinion, although public interest in famous people is understandable, photographers should respect boundaries. Taking photos at public events is reasonable, but following celebrities constantly in their private lives is wrong.
In conclusion, while photographing famous people can satisfy public interest, it should not come at the cost of personal freedom and safety. A balance between media freedom and privacy is essential.
