Band 7+: Nowadays, in many countries, parents spend little freetime with their children. Why this happens? Do you think who are more affected, parents or children?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In this day and age, parents across a number of countries do not spend enough spare time with their offspring. There are several reasons for this phenomenon. As people need love and affection to live happily, this phenomenon has numerous negative effects on both the parents and the children, especially the young kids, whose mental condition has been not fully developed.

First, with the stress and exhaustion from working, some adults may want to allocate time for relaxing with their hobbies or own pleasure resulting in not sparing time with their children. For example, with the development of the technology, the advent of smartphone and other technological devices makes people addicted and forget other responsibilities in their life. In addition, another reason for this fact is that some parents have to work a lot in order to make ends meet for their family, they have to work overtime or some people have to work far from their children.

Despite the fact that children from all ages can be affected, those who are in their early age and teenage period are more vulnerable. Not having enough love and care from their parents can affect their psychological and even physiological changes. As a result, they can have many naughty activities and furthermore, lead to depression or anti-social behaviors. Furthermore, they will always be miserable about their childhood, even after they have grown up. However, the lack of love and affection not only affects children but their parents as well.

In conclusion, family is the most wonderful thing in a person’s life, it should be prioritized over anything else. Hence, adults in general and parents in particular must learn how to balance their work and family, as well as spend time with their children as much as possible.
